PRIVACY POLICY

Apex Underwriters is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information.  To this end, we have developed the following Privacy Policy.  This policy will help ensure the continued protection of any nonpublic personal information provided to us.    This policy applied to every customer who is issued an Apex Underwriters title insurance policy.

As part of our normal business practices, we may obtain nonpublic personal information directly from our customers, from customer-related transactions, and from third party sources, such as title insurance agents, lenders, appraisers, surveyors and others involved in the real estate profession.  Access to all nonpublic personal information is strictly limited to those employees who have a legitimate need to know.  Their need to know is necessary for them to perform their jobs.

It is our policy not to share nonpublic personal information with anyone other than the agents issuing our policies, as necessary to compete the real estate settlement services and to issue the title insurance policy.  Further, we may share it, as permitted by law, with entities with whom Apex Underwriters has entered into a joint marketing agreement.  Any entities with whom we have a joint marketing agreement have agreed to protect the privacy of our customer’s nonpublic personal information by utilizing similar precautions and security measures to those used by Apex Underwriters.  However, Apex Underwriters may share information as required by law in response to a subpoena, to a government regulatory agency or to prevent fraud.

Apex Underwriters continues to work to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and the integrity of any personal information in its possession.  Further, we have instituted safeguards against the unauthorized access of your personal information, whether it be a physical file, or an electronic one.  These precautions are in compliance with state and federal standards.
